While Vicente and José Casasco established
your pharmacies in Tortona and Torino (Italy), Eugenio
Casasco, a pharmacist from Torino, emigrated
to Argentina and founded in 1876, in Chacabuco,
province of Buenos Aires, the first pharmacy
of that locality.
At that time, for CASASCO the centrality
was already in the patient, recipient of a service
settled in scientific knowledge
and its application in human health.
From the first rungs of the ascent, it was
visible the development of pharmaceutical products
on an industrial scale with the Handel brand.

Dr. Eugenio Andrés Casasco, pharmaceutical chemist

Dr. Eugenio F. Casasco took over the presidency
of the company driving it for 56 years.
Another symbol of how CASASCO headed
the therapeutic vanguard was the decision, during
the ’70s and’ 80s, to launch products under license
of Takeda, Sigma Tau Italy and, subsequently,
Recordati S.p.A., Angelini and OM Pharma.
With the arrival of the new millennium and occupying
a prominent position in the Argentine market,
the construction of a second plant begins
in the town of Pilar, province of Buenos Aires.
